Rating: * 1/4
[Jack Davis interfered against Bobo Brazil.]

Bobo Brazil was going to have to wrestle 2 matches tonight, his second one being for the World Title either against reigning champion Gene Kiniski or Killer Kowalski, but first he had to deal with "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd. Brazil may have been looking past Ladd to his World Title opportunity as Ladd caught him by surprise with the Boot to the Face to get the win. Regardless of this setback, Brazil has to refocus on his title match tonight.

The Half-Ton Team (Gorilla Monsoon and Haystacks Calhoun) defeated Johnny Valentine and Lou Albano when Monsoon defeated J. Valentine by countout in 0:10:55.
Rating: -1/2*

Lou Albano insisted that he and Johnny Valentine could make an effective team, signing the two up for a rematch against the Half-Ton Team. The two didn't work well together at all and it culminated in Albano accidentally getting in Valentine's way to prevent him from getting back in the ring and eating the countout loss. Albano apologized thoroughly and said that next month it would be different. Valentine didn't seem too thrilled at the prospect of tagging with his manager again.

The Firecrackers (Antonino Rocca, Argentina Apollo and Miguel Perez) defeated Baron Mikel Scicluna, The Sheik and Hiro Matsuda when Apollo defeated Sheik when Sheik passed out in the Argentine Backbreaker in 0:13:14.

Gene Kiniski pinned Killer Kowalski after a flying kneedrop in 0:17:01.
Rating: * 3/4
(Gene Kiniski retained the GCW World Title.)
[Abdullah Farouk interfered against Killer Kowalski.]

The first of our two World Title matches was up next as reigning champion Gene Kiniski defended against Killer Kowalski. Though Kiniski would walk out of this match with the World Title still in his possession, he had a lot taken out of him by the ruthless Kowalski. It will be interesting to see how much Kiniski has in the tank for the main event against Bobo Brazil.

Danny Hodge pinned Eddie Graham with the Oklahoma Roll in 0:14:31.
Rating: ***

The woes for the Grahams continued as Eddie fell prey to the Oklahoma Roll of Danny Hodge.

Antonio Inoki made Luke Graham submit to the Octopus Hold in 0:21:26.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Antonio Inoki won the GCW United States Title.)

I bet Luke Graham is regretting his decision to make such an arrogant open challenge now! The undefeated United States champion said that he could beat anyone in the world, and he sure got that as the challenge was answered by Japanese superstar ANTONIO INOKI. Graham was not expecting this at all and to say he was flustered would be a vast understatement. But Graham is as tough as they come and he didn't go down without a fight. However, he didn't have an answer for Inoki's unique style and got trapped in the Octopus Hold and had to tap out. The undefeated streak is over and we have a new US champion! After the match, Luke's brothers Dr. Jerry & Eddie ran down and attacked Inoki as he was being handed the US Title. Inoki was being attacked 3-on-1 when GIANT BABA ran out for the save! Inoki has brought backup with him to GCW!

The Pretty Boys (Pat Patterson and Larry Hennig) defeated Pedro Morales and Dominic DeNucci when L. Hennig defeated DeNucci by disqualification in 0:00:57.
Rating: **
(Pedro Morales and Dominic DeNucci retained the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)
[The Crusher interfered against Larry Hennig.]

This match was a rematch of the finals of the tournament to crown new World Tag Team champions last month, and this match didn't last long as Pedro Morales & Dominic DeNucci defended their titles against the Pretty Boys. The match had barely started when THE CRUSHER ran in and attacked Patterson & Hennig, making this match a disqualification. The Pretty Boys got out of dodge in a hurry rather than face the wrath of The Crusher.

Jack Brisco and Dory Funk Jr. battled to a double countout in 0:13:27.
Rating: ** 3/4

This feud between Dory Funk Jr. and Jack Brisco is only going to get more intense after this match, another indecisive result. Funk & Brisco took the fight to the floor and didn't care much for getting back in the ring resulting in a double countout. What's it going to take for these two to settle their differences? Both men were told to select a tag team partner for a match against each other on May 20th from Washington, DC.

Bobo Brazil pinned Gene Kiniski with the Coco Butt in 0:18:38.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Bobo Brazil won the GCW World Title.)
[Abdullah Farouk interfered against Bobo Brazil.]

Bobo Brazil has done it! After literally years of Abdullah Farouk tormenting him, after having his manager and friend James Dudley run out of GCW, after countless beatdowns, Brazil got the ultimate revenge by pinning Gene Kiniski in the middle of the ring and becoming the NEW World champion! And not only that, but the way that it happened was the best revenge possible. Dick Kroll was hit with an errant elbow and taken out of commission. Farouk got in the ring with intentions to hit Brazil with the ring bell, but a man ran out of the crowd and tackled him to the ground. It turned out it was JAMES DUDLEY as the crowd went nuts! This altercation allowed Brazil to hit the Coco Butt and a recovered Kroll counted the 1-2-3 for the pinfall. Bobo Brazil makes history by becoming the first black World champion ever.

Abdullah Farouk has been throwing a fit in GCW offices ever since this all went down, claiming that James Dudley is banned from GCW and his interference should make this decision null and void and the World Title should be returned to Gene Kiniski. The GCW Championship Committee has other thoughts, saying that Farouk had intentions to illegally interfere with the ring bell. A compromise has been reached and Bobo Brazil's first title defense will be on May 20th against Gene Kiniski with two special stipulations. For starters, to make sure there is no interference, the match has been made a cage match! In addition, if Brazil wins and successfully retains the championship, James Dudley will be reinstated!

Card rating: ** 1/2
