Pedro Morales gets a big win when he made "Maniac" Mark Lewin submit to the Boston Crab.

Crusher & Bruiser (The Crusher and Dick the Bruiser) and Danny Hodge defeated The Golden Grahams (Dr. Jerry Graham, Eddie Graham and Luke Graham) when Bruiser made Dr. J. Graham submit to the Stomach Claw in 0:12:41.
Rating: *** 1/4

Since bringing Luke Graham into the fold, the Golden Grahams have been winning matches left and right. Tonight they suffered their first setback in a 6-man tag match against Dick the Bruiser, The Crusher, & Danny Hodge. They hit a snag when the crowd started chanting "CRAZY!" at Luke, who didn't take too kindly to it, holding his ears and running to the locker room. While Dr. Jerry & Eddie yelled for him to come back, Dick the Bruiser grabbed the Good Doctor in the Stomach Claw to get the submission victory.

Baron Mikel Scicluna pinned Miguel Perez with the Fistdrop in 0:07:49.
Miguel Perez injured his left knee. He will be out for approximately 5 months.
Rating: * 1/2
[Abdullah Farouk interfered against Miguel Perez.]

Not a good night for Miguel Perez. Not only did he suffer a loss at the hands of Baron Mikel Scicluna (after lots of foreign objects and interference by Abdullah Farouk), but it was also revealed that he suffered an injury to his left knee that is going to put him on the shelf for some time. We wish Perez a speedy recovery.

Edouard Carpentier pinned Ernie Ladd with the Somersault Senton in 0:17:36.
Edouard Carpentier suffered a back injury. He will be out for approximately 1 month.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Edouard Carpentier won the GCW United States Title.)

Edouard Carpentier is the new United States champion! Jack Davis had been instrumental in all of Ernie Ladd's previous title defenses, but for Carpentier's last chance, Davis was locked in a cage hanging high above the ring. Carpentier would make his last chance and with no Jack Davis getting involved, he countered Ladd's Boot to the Face with a legsweep, hit the Somersault Senton, and is now the US champion! Carpentier did suffer a minor back injury, but he shouldn't miss any time.

Bobo Brazil and Haystacks Calhoun defeated Gorilla Monsoon and Killer Kowalski when Brazil defeated Kowalski by disqualification in 0:07:39.
Rating: 1/4*
[Gene Kiniski interfered against Bobo Brazil.]

When is Abdullah Farouk going to stop harassing Bobo Brazil? Just when you think the feud is done and over with, Gene Kiniski attacks Brazil brutally with a chair during this tag team match causing the disqualification. This feud isn't going to end until one of these men is no longer employed by Global Championship Wrestling.

Bill Watts and Johnny Valentine defeated Argentina Apollo and Antonino Rocca when J. Valentine pinned Rocca with the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:23:48.
Rating: *** 1/2
(Bill Watts and Johnny Valentine won the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)

Antonino Rocca & Argentina Apollo are not happy, nor should they be. A team can handle losing the World Tag Team Titles if it happens fair and square, but that didn't happen here. After a lengthy back and forth contest, Johnny Valentine got Rocca locked in the Figure-Four Leglock. Rocca was fighting and struggling to get to the ropes for the break, but instead, Bill Watts grabbed his wrists and held them down so he couldn't escape. Since Rocca's shoulders were down, he was counted out for the 3 and thus, new champions.

Gene Kiniski pinned Spiros Arion after a flying kneedrop in 0:10:26.
Rating: * 1/2

Spiros Arion is lucky that Bruno Sammartino was in the building. Arion wrestled Gene Kiniski in singles competition, and despite a spirited effort, he got caught with a flying kneedrop that knocked the wind out of him, letting Kiniski get the pin. Kiniski wasn't satisfied, and at Abdullah Farouk's urging, Kiniski went up top to hit a second flying kneedrop. But thankfully for Arion, SAMMARTINO ran out and broke it up, hitting Kiniski with a huge forearm and knocking him to the floor. Next month we know that Bruno & Arion will team up to take on Kiniski and the man who might be the next World champion, The Sheik.

Cage Match:
Lou Thesz made The Sheik submit to the STF in 0:40:54.
Rating: *****
(Lou Thesz retained the GCW World Title.)

The main event proved to be as bloody and great a match as we hoped it would as Lou Thesz defended the World Title against The Sheik in a cage match. This match was supposed to take place last month, but Farouk's men assaulted Thesz in the locker room before the match could take place. Instead we got this cage match to prevent anything like that from happening, and what we got was a classic confrontation. This match was definitely The Sheik's element, and Thesz was bleeding profusely for much of this match. But Thesz showed a different side of him that we have never seen - a sadistic side. Thesz knew he had to do so in order to survive and keep his career going. The Sheik did everything he could think of to put Thesz down, but he just couldn't as Thesz showed why he is such a great champion. Thesz fought through and got The Sheik in the STF. The insane Sheik held out as long as he could, but had to submit due to the pain. As the referee was opening the cage to let the competitors out, GENE KINISKI was out and he slammed the door right in Thesz's face! Kiniski viciously attacked Thesz, trying to permanently put him out of commission when BOBO BRAZIL ran down and got in the cage to make the save, sending Kiniski & The Sheik running! Lou Thesz grabbed the house mic and thanked Brazil for helping him out, and asked how he could repay him. Brazil said he could give him a shot at the World Title next month, which Thesz agreed to! What a World Title match that will be!
