Crusher & Bruiser (The Crusher and Dick the Bruiser) defeated Skull Murphy and Brute Bernard when Bruiser defeated S. Murphy when S. Murphy passed out in an airplane spin in 0:12:53.
Rating: * 1/4

The domination of Dick the Bruiser & The Crusher continued as they beat Skull Murphy & Brute Bernard in our opening match. They have been asking for it, and Crusher & Bruiser have been granted a tag title shot next month in Madison Square Garden.

Ernie Ladd pinned Pedro Morales with the Boot to the Face in 0:11:06.
Rating: ***

Ernie Ladd cost Pedro Morales the United States Title a month ago, and Morales wanted revenge. We hadn't seen this kind of fire out of Morales to date and I don't think the Big Cat expected it. Morales was all over Ladd this match, and when Ladd would get the advantage, Morales would get fired up and take control again. Ladd figured out how to slow that down - with an illegal low blow followed by the Boot to the Face to get the pin.

Edouard Carpentier pinned Dr. Jerry Graham after a flying senton in 0:07:38.
Rating: ***

Edouard Carpentier made his GCW debut against Dr. Jerry Graham in a winning effort. Dr. Jerry didn't like losing to the former gymnast and he and his brother Eddie attacked Carpentier after the match. They've demanded that Carpentier find a tag team partner to meet them in a tag team match next month at MSG.

Johnny Valentine & Argentina Apollo get into a brawl.

Johnny Valentine was in the ring to explain why he turned on Argentina Apollo last month. Valentine said he gave the pairing an honest try, but Apollo was holding him back. He said he carried the team and if Apollo was smart, he'd just stay away and move on. Instead, Apollo ran out and the two got into a brawl that had to be broken up by officials.

Gene Kiniski pinned Danny Hodge with the Backbreaker in 0:17:13.
Rating: ***
(Gene Kiniski retained the GCW United States Title.)

Danny Hodge was granted a rematch due to the way he lost the United States Title to Gene Kiniski thanks to Abdullah Farouk. Hodge wanted to see if Kiniski could beat him on hiss own merits, and though Kiniski would win the match, it would be again by nefarious means. As had happened last match, ABDULLAH FAROUK got involved, tripping Hodge up which let Kiniski hit the Backbreaker to retain the title. After the match, Kiniski & Farouk shook hands as it appears Farouk will be representing the United States champion in the future.

Bobo Brazil pinned Mark Lewin with the Coco Butt in 0:09:11.
Rating: ** 1/4

Bobo Brazil picked up a singles victory over "Maniac" Mark Lewin. The Maniac tried to attack Brazil post-match, but Brazil thwarted the assault and stood tall in the ring.

Antonino Rocca and Miguel Perez defeated The Madmen (Abdullah the Butcher and The Sheik) when Perez defeated Abdullah by disqualification in 0:13:19.
Rating: 3/4*
(Antonino Rocca and Miguel Perez retained the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)
[Abdullah Farouk interfered against Miguel Perez.]

How do you contend with a team that wants to hurt you more than they want to win the match? That's exactly what opponents of Abdullah the Butcher & The Sheik have to deal with. Antonino Rocca & Miguel Perez didn't want to lose their tag team titles, but they also wanted to survive. Eventually Abdullah Farouk let the Madmen loose and they ended up getting themselves disqualified when Abdullah attacked Perez with a fork. DANNY HODGE ran out and made the save, only to be attacked by GENE KINISKI. The rulebreakers ended up standing tall as the fan favorites had to be helped to the back.

Freddie Blassie pinned Bill Watts after a piledriver in 0:05:30.
Rating: * 1/2

Bill Watts has the worst luck. The Cowboy looked strong in this match with veteran "Classy" Freddie Blassie. That is, until Blassie grabbed a small bottle of perfume out of his robe and sprayed it in the eyes of Watts completely unbeknownst to referee Grizzly Jones. Blassie followed up with a piledriver and got a victory over the temporarily blinded Watts.

Lou Thesz defeated Bruno Sammartino when Bruno Sammartino passed out in the STF in 1:05:19.
Rating: *****
(Lou Thesz won the GCW World Title.)

Lou Thesz is your new World champion! Thesz has been a World champion wherever he has gone, and he can add Global Championship Wrestling to the list. In a 5-star classic that went over an hour, Thesz defeated Bruno Sammartino when Bruno's body simply couldn't hold up and he passed out in Thesz's STF. The crowd gave both men a standing ovation for this classic. After the match, Bruno shook Thesz's hand and handed him the World Title in a great sign of respect.
