June 22, 1963 - Madison Square Garden - New York, NY

Crusher & Bruiser (The Crusher and Dick the Bruiser) defeated The Golden Grahams (Eddie Graham and Dr. Jerry Graham) when Crusher made Dr. J. Graham submit to a sleeperhold in 0:12:05.
Rating: ** 1/4

A good long tag team match to kick off the show. This was a big match in the tag rankings, a match won by Dick the Bruiser & The Crusher over the Grahams. With their recent streak of wins, Crusher & Bruiser have to be in line for a title shot.

Gene Kiniski pinned Pedro Morales with the Backbreaker in 0:15:52.
Rating: **
(Gene Kiniski retained the GCW United States Title.)

Pedro Morales had a huge opportunity to win the United States Title from Gene Kiniski, but thanks to Ernie Ladd, that didn't happen. Morales had Kiniski on the ropes, until Kiniski tossed Morales out of the ring in a desperation move. Kiniski grabbed a hold of the referee which allowed the Big Cat to run out and plaster Morales with the Boot to the Face and tossed him back in the ring. Kiniski followed with the Backbreaker and successfully retained the title in his first defense.

Skull Murphy and Brute Bernard defeated Argentina Apollo and Johnny Valentine when Bernard pinned Apollo with the Backbreaker in 0:07:48.
Rating: ** 1/4

Argentina Apollo & Johnny Valentine's tag team partnership appears to be over. After suffering yet another loss, Valentine apparently had enough and he attacked Apollo, leaving him in the ring after hitting the Brain Buster. We will try to get an interview with Johnny Valentine next month to explain his actions tonight.

Lou Thesz defeated Freddie Blassie when Freddie Blassie passed out in the STF in 0:14:45.
Rating: ****

Well Blassie lasted longer this time against Lou Thesz, but ultimately, he fell short again, passing out in the STF. We have learned that Lou Thesz is going to get an opportunity to wrestle for the World Title at our next show, our debut in Toronto on July 20th, whether it be Bruno Sammartino or Ernie Ladd.

No-DQ-Match:
Bill Watts pinned Mark Lewin with the Oklahoma Stampede in 0:15:12.
Rating: ** 1/4

Bill Watts wanted a no-disqualification match against Mark Lewin, and at the beginning of that match, that appeared to be a terrible idea as the Maniac beat him from pillar to post. The Cowboy fought back and despite bleeding profusely from a wound in his head, he hit the Oklahoma Stampede and got a bloody victory.

Antonino Rocca and Miguel Perez defeated Gorilla Monsoon and Killer Kowalski when Rocca pinned Monsoon after a flying dropkick in 0:24:39.
Rating: ***
(Antonino Rocca and Miguel Perez retained the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)

Thus far, Antonino Rocca & Miguel Perez have turned back every challenge that has come their way for their World Tag Team Titles. They had their biggest challenge to date, literally, in the form of Gorilla Monsoon & Killer Kowalski. No team has taken Rocca & Perez to the limit like Monsoon & Kowalski, but with the power of the fans behind them, the champs kept their titles after a double flying dropkick on Monsoon.

Interview:
The man who distracted Danny Hodge reveals who he is.

A month ago, a man came out and distracted Danny Hodge and cost him the United States Title. This man revealed himself as Abdullah Farouk. Farouk said he has been sent by the rich family of The Sheik to look after his son and keep him out of trouble. He said he will be the acting manager of the Madmen from here on out.

The Madmen (Abdullah the Butcher and The Sheik) defeated Bobo Brazil and Danny Hodge when Sheik made Brazil submit to the Camel Clutch in 0:20:08.
Rating: ** 1/4

Abdullah Farouk insisted that he was just in the Madmen's corners to keep them in line, but he proved quickly that he had far different intentions. All throughout the match, Farouk interfered at any point he could and generally annoyed every fan at ringside. Brazil & Hodge weren't prepared to deal with Farouk as well as the Madmen, and ended up falling to them.

Bruno Sammartino pinned Ernie Ladd after a powerslam in 0:20:56.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Bruno Sammartino retained the GCW World Title.)

Our show ended with Bruno Sammartino successfully defending the World Title against "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd. Ladd put up a fight, but Sammartino showed his guts by getting the win with a powerslam. He will now have to defend his title against the legendary Lou Thesz next month when we debut in Toronto.

Card rating: ** 3/4
