March 27, 1965 - Boston Garden - Boston, MA

Edouard Carpentier defeated Ernie Ladd by disqualification in 0:14:59.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Ernie Ladd retained the GCW United States Title.)
[Jack Davis interfered against Edouard Carpentier.]

Ernie Ladd & Jack Davis continually find new ways to weasel away from these shows still the United States champion. This was the closest that Edouard Carpentier has gotten to capturing the title, which prompted Davis to run in the ring and clock Carpentier with his shoe, a blatant disqualification. Carpentier got on the mic afterwards and said he was sick of this and he wanted to show that he was better than Ladd. He goaded Ladd into accepting a match with any stipulations that Carpentier wanted, and Carpentier wanted a regular match… with Jack Davis locked up inside of a cage!

Luke Graham pinned Miguel Perez with the Thumb to the Throat in 0:07:19.
Rating: **

Miguel Perez has not had much luck with the newest Graham brother, "Crazy" Luke Graham. For starters, it's important to know that Luke Graham does not like being called crazy. Perez got the fans to chant that at Luke and he responded by covering his ears and throwing a fit. Though it may have been funny, it might not have been too wise for Perez as he got the crap kicked out of him shortly after. Graham never let up on Perez and pinned him with a devastating Thumb to the Throat.

The Golden Grahams (Dr. Jerry Graham and Eddie Graham) defeated Don Leo Jonathan and Pedro Morales when E. Graham defeated Jonathan via pinfall in 0:06:05.
Rating: *** 1/4

Dr. Jerry & Eddie Graham made it a perfect night for the Graham clan as they won a tag team match over Don Leo Jonathan & Pedro Morales, brutalizing Jonathan on the floor with two bodyslams and then pinning him in the ring.

The Crusher pinned Mark Lewin with the Bolo Punch in 0:09:34.
Rating: ** 1/2

Dick the Bruiser wasn't the only member of his team who was in singles action tonight as The Crusher took on "Maniac" Mark Lewin. Lewin was out of control as he usually is, but he took a hard Bolo Punch to the face and that was all she wrote.

Bill Watts and Johnny Valentine defeated Bobo Brazil and Haystacks Calhoun when Watts defeated Calhoun by countout in 0:23:40.
Rating: **

With their World Tag Team Title match pending next month at MSG, Bill Watts & Johnny Valentine wanted to keep momentum going, and they did so with a win over Bobo Brazil & Haystacks Calhoun. It's a tough strategy to employ, but if you can get Calhoun on the floor and incapacitated, you can get him counted out, which is exactly what happened here. Now they await to see who they will be wrestling for the tag titles next month.

Ray Stevens pinned Dick the Bruiser after a piledriver in 0:09:19.
Rating: ****

Ray Stevens made it 2 for 2 as he wrestled Dick the Bruiser in a singles match. The Blond Bomber beat The Crusher last month, and was bounced around the ring a lot by the Bruiser. But a well-placed back kick and a piledriver from Stevens put the Bruiser down for the 1-2-3.

Argentina Apollo and Antonino Rocca defeated Gorilla Monsoon and Killer Kowalski when Apollo pinned Kowalski after a flying bodypress in 0:09:54.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Argentina Apollo and Antonino Rocca retained the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)

Antonino Rocca & Argentina Apollo got through the first stage of their gauntlet as they managed to retain the World Tag Team Titles over the team they beat for the titles, Gorilla Monsoon & Killer Kowalski. It wasn't easy and both natives of Argentina took their lumps, but a hit-and-run style allowed them to keep their difference and a flying bodypress by Apollo on Kowalski put this one in the books as a successful title defense. Now Rocca & Apollo get Bill Watts & Johnny Valentine at MSG.

Bruno Sammartino and Spiros Arion defeated Baron Mikel Scicluna and Gene Kiniski when B. Sammartino defeated Kiniski when Kiniski passed out in the Sammartino Backbreaker in 0:20:40.
Rating: ***

Bruno Sammartino & Spiros Arion proved to make up a great team as they were able to defeat Baron Mikel Scicluna & Gene Kiniski in tag team action. This was a great tag team match that the crowd was really into, but Abdullah Farouk saw the match slipping away and jumped in the ring and he had a weapon in his hands. He took a wild swing at Bruno, but Bruno ducked and Farouk clocked Kiniski instead. Arion threw Farouk out of the ring and kept Scicluna at bay as Bruno put Kiniski in the Sammartino Backbreaker. Kiniski was out cold, so the match was award to Sammartino & Arion.

Card rating: ** 3/4

Match observations:

We were supposed to have a World Title match between Lou Thesz & The Sheik, but as is Abdullah Farouk's MO, Thesz was attacked in the locker room before he could come out for the match by the other members of his stable. We do know that these two will hook up in a cage match to settle this in Madison Square Garden!

Other matches on the show include:

UNITED STATES TITLE - JACK DAVIS LOCKED IN A CAGE - Ernie Ladd (c) vs. Edouard Carpentier
WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES - Antonino Rocca/Argentina Apollo (c) vs. Bill Watts/Johnny Valentine
Miguel Perez vs. Baron Mikel Scicluna
