March 28, 1964 - Madison Square Garden - New York, NY

Ernie Ladd pinned Edouard Carpentier with the Boot to the Face in 0:09:10.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Ernie Ladd retained the GCW United States Title.)

Edouard Carpentier had a huge opportunity as he had his first chance to win singles gold in GCW, but he fell just short at "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd retained the US Title. Carpentier will have more opportunities to wrestle for gold in the future.

Johnny Valentine defeated Argentina Apollo when Argentina Apollo passed out in a standing wristlock in 0:11:31.
Rating: ** 1/2

Johnny Valentine got back on the winning track with a great strategy against Argentina Apollo. Valentine focused on Apollo's arm and was able to avoid the man from Argentina's feet. Valentine worked the arm over so effectively that he was able to beat Apollo with a standing wristlock.

Pedro Morales pinned Masked Man after a crucifix in 0:15:09.
Rating: ** 3/4

Pedro Morales got a small measure of revenge against the Masked Man who has been harassing him for months. After a back and forth encounter, Morales countered a clothesline with a crucifix to get the 3 count. After the match, Morales tried to take the Masked Man's mask off, but the mystery competition wiggled out of the ring and ran to safety. Morales has said he has had enough and has challenged the Masked Man to a match for his mask at our next show in Boston on April 25th. The Masked Man agreed if Morales agreed to shave his head if he lost. The match has been signed.

The Golden Grahams (Eddie Graham and Dr. Jerry Graham) defeated Skull Murphy and Brute Bernard when Dr. J. Graham defeated S. Murphy by disqualification in 0:09:21.
Rating: 1/4*

Not much of a match here as the Golden Grahams got a win over Skull Murphy & Brute Bernard via disqualification when Murphy wouldn't release a choke. The brawl between the two teams after the match was met with indifference.

Bobo Brazil pinned Mark Lewin with the Coco Butt in 0:02:32.
Rating: ** 1/4

I'm not sure what got into Bobo Brazil tonight, but he was clearly not working by the hour as it only took him 2 and a half minutes to hit the Coco Butt on "Maniac" Mark Lewin to get the win.

Don Leo Jonathan made Freddie Blassie submit to the Spinning Full Nelson in 0:15:22.
Rating: * 3/4

"Classy" Freddie Blassie doesn't appreciate Don Leo Jonathan getting involved in his issue with Pedro Morales, and he looked to take him down a peg in this match. However Jonathan is a mountain of a man and once he got the Spinning Full Nelson locked on, that was all she wrote.

Crusher & Bruiser (The Crusher and Dick the Bruiser) defeated The Madmen (Abdullah the Butcher and The Sheik) when Bruiser defeated Abdullah by disqualification in 0:14:05.
Rating: 3/4*
[Abdullah Farouk interfered against Dick the Bruiser.]

Abdullah Farouk was sent to America to help keep The Sheik under control, but he has done the exact opposite. Farouk recruited Abdullah the Butcher and formed a team with The Sheik, and they have been absolutely out of control. This was witness again this month as the Madmen got disqualified against Dick the Bruiser & The Crusher due to the use of weapons. The #1 contenders to the tag titles have said they are sick and tired of Farouk and his men trying to run wild over GCW and asked for a no-disqualification match for next month.

Gorilla Monsoon, Killer Kowalski and Bill Watts defeated Antonino Rocca, Miguel Perez and Bruno Sammartino when Monsoon pinned Perez after a splash in 0:34:48.
Rating: ** 3/4

This 6-man tag team match was Bruno Sammartino's first opportunity to get his hands on his former best friend, "Cowboy" Bill Watts, but Watts took the cowardly way out and kept his distance from Sammartino this entire match. Bruno's strong desire to get his hands on Watts led to poor chemistry with Antonino Rocca & Miguel Perez, which would lead to Gorilla Monsoon hitting Perez with a big splash to get the duke. We have learned that Monsoon & Killer Kowalski will get another chance to win the World Tag Team Titles from Rocca & Perez next month, and Watts won't be able to run as he will be forced to wrestle Sammartino one-on-one in Boston!

Match with Managers Banned From Ringside:
Lou Thesz pinned Gene Kiniski after a German suplex in 0:19:14.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Lou Thesz retained the GCW World Title.)

The World champion wanted to prove he could beat Gene Kiniski clean in the middle of the ring and got this match with Abdullah Farouk banned from ringside. Halfway through the match, Farouk tried to come down to the ring, but he was cut off by BOBO BRAZIL, who chased him to the back to ensure this match stayed on the level. Kiniski brutalized Thesz, but couldn't put him down and out and fell victim to a German suplex.
