Interview:
Dory Funk Jr. responds to Terry Funk's challenge.

Dory Funk Jr. started tonight's event with an interview, responding to his own brother Terry Funk challenging him to a match. Dory said it's been on his mind the last month and he just can't bring himself to do so. Dory said he couldn't do that to his father, Dory Sr., who doesn't want to see his two sons fight with each other.

Ernie Ladd defeated Miguel Perez when Miguel Perez passed out in a Boston crab in 0:03:14.
Rating: ***

Wrestling kicked off with Miguel Perez of the Firecrackers taking on Ernie Ladd. Ladd was again wearing the hat with the feathers from Chief Jay Strongbow's headdress on it, further taunting the beaten man. Ladd is cocky and everyone wants to see him get his, but the man is a former 2-time US champion and has a lot of skills. He overpowered Perez in this one en route to a victory.

Antonino Rocca pinned Killer Kowalski after a jawbreaker in 0:09:03.
Rating: ** 1/2

His partner may have had some bad fortune in his match, but Antonino Rocca had better luck against Killer Kowalski. Kowalski thought he had this match against the unorthodox Rocca in the bag when he locked on the Stomach Claw, but Rocca surprised him with a jawbreaker for the flash pin.

Argentina Apollo defeated Nick Bockwinkel by countout in 0:11:43.
Rating: ** 3/4

Next we had the debut of a new wrestler in Global Championship Wrestling, Nick Bockwinkel. Bockwinkel may be taking arrogance to a whole different level as he is already claiming that he is the best wrestler in GCW before he even wrestled his first match. Argentina Apollo was his opponent and he had no desire to be Bockwinkel's stepping stone. Bockwinkel continually made arrogant covers, but became increasingly irritated when Apollo would kick out. Eventually Bockwinkel had had enough, walking out of the ring for a deliberate countout loss. Bockwinkel claims that Apollo wasn't worthy enough to be in the same ring as him. Wow.

Bobo Brazil pinned Baron Mikel Scicluna with the Coco Butt in 0:13:19.
Rating: **
(Bobo Brazil retained the GCW World Title.)

Bobo Brazil's World Title reign keeps on trucking along as he had a successful title defense against the ever-crafty Baron Mikel Scicluna. Scicluna may not have the best win-loss record, but he is a scary man to defend a title against because with how willing he is to cheat, Scicluna can steal a victory out of nowhere. With the roll Brazil is on right now though, that just wasn't going to happen as Brazil extends his title reign by another show.

Jack Brisco and Terry Funk defeated The Half-Ton Team (Gorilla Monsoon and Haystacks Calhoun) when Jack Brisco pinned Monsoon after a facerake in 0:13:20.
Rating: * 3/4

With Dory Funk Jr. earlier refusing the challenge of Terry Funk, Terry and his partner Jack Brisco wanted to send a message to Dory in this tag match against Gorilla Monsoon & Haystacks Calhoun, the Half-Ton Team. They did just that went Terry threw powder into Calhoun's eyes. Brisco raked the eyes to really make sure the damage was done and with his feet on the ropes, made the pin. After the match, Brisco & Funk stomped away at Calhoun's face until Monsoon chased them off.

Antonio Inoki, Giant Baba and Edouard Carpentier defeated Hiro Matsuda, Lou Albano and Luke Graham when Baba pinned Albano after a back suplex in 0:22:10.
Giant Baba suffered a larynx injury. He will be out for approximately 2 months.
Rating: *** 1/2

Six-man tag team action as Lou Albano and two of his charges, US champion Luke Graham & Hiro Matsuda, took on 3 men that don't like him very much - Antonio Inoki, Giant Baba, & Edouard Carpentier. Had Albano let Graham & Matsuda do most of the dirty work, he would have been okay. But Albano insists on wrestling in matches and tonight, that cost his team as when he had a headlock on Giant Baba, Baba reversed it with a back suplex. Albano's head bounced off the mat which let Baba get the pinfall. Luke Graham must have taken offense to this as he jumped in the ring and attacked Baba. Matsuda held off Inoki & Carpentier with Albano's cane, which let Graham hit the Thumb to the Throat on Baba 3 times. Baba has suffered a serious larnyx injury that is going to put him on the shelf for a couple of months.

The Sheik defeated Gene Kiniski by disqualification in 0:03:47.
Gene Kiniski suffered an elbow injury. He will be out for approximately 3 months.
Rating: DUD

Last month when these two wrestled, Gene Kiniski won by disqualification when The Sheik attacked him with a pencil. This time, The Sheik tried it again, but Kiniski got the pencil from him and stabbed away at The Sheik, leading to a DQ the other way! Kiniski looked like a man possessed as he busted The Sheik open. During the brawl after the match, Kiniski ended up suffering an elbow injury and is going to miss some time. Kiniski has promised that this isn't over yet.

Pedro Morales and Dominic DeNucci defeated Crusher & Bruiser (The Crusher and Dick the Bruiser) when DeNucci pinned Crusher with the Airplane Spin in 0:29:02.
Rating: ** 3/4
(Pedro Morales and Dominic DeNucci retained the GCW World Tag Team Titles.)

Our main event was for the World Tag Team Titles as Pedro Morales & Dominic DeNucci defended the gold against their former friends, Dick the Bruiser & The Crusher. Last month it was just a title match - this time it was personal. A hard-hitting main event that went almost half an hour before DeNucci surprised The Crusher with the Airplane Spin to retain the titles. Bruiser & Crusher kept the assault going and it looked bleak for the champions until PAT PATTERSON ran down to get him a piece of the attackers! I have never seen Patterson so intense as he sent Bruiser & Crusher sprawling from the ring. Patterson is back, and he is not happy!

Card rating: **
