Though Dick the Bruiser & The Crusher came up short in their bid to win the World Tag Team Titles, they got right back on the winning track over the Grahams.

Bruno Sammartino and Bill Watts defeated Gorilla Monsoon and Killer Kowalski when Watts pinned Monsoon with the Oklahoma Stampede in 0:14:34.

This isn't the way that Gorilla Monsoon & Killer Kowalski wanted to go into their tag title shot next month, losing to Bruno Sammartino & Bill Watts. You have to think that if Monsoon & Kowalski win the gold, Bruno & Watts will be first in line for a title shot.

Don Leo Jonathan pinned Skull Murphy after a powerslam in 0:12:19.

The singles debut of the Mormon Giant was a successful one as Don Leo Jonathan had little trouble getting past Skull Murphy.

Freddie Blassie pinned Edouard Carpentier after a piledriver in 0:07:17.

"Classy" Freddie Blassie continues to show how crafty he can be. When it looked like Carpentier was on his way to win this match, Blassie hit a piledriver out of nowhere to pick up the win.

Johnny Valentine and Bobo Brazil battled to a double countout in 0:04:39.

Johnny Valentine's new bad attitude may not be popular, but it has shown to be effective already. Though Valentine didn't beat Bobo Brazil, a few months ago, no one would have thought he would stand a chance against Brazil. These two will meet once again next month to try to get a decisive winner.

Abdullah the Butcher, Mark Lewin and Gene Kiniski defeated Antonino Rocca, Miguel Perez and Danny Hodge when Kiniski pinned Perez with the Backbreaker in 0:08:40.

Bobo Brazil was so upset over not getting the win in his previous match that he assaulted his old nemesis, The Sheik, in the locker room, taking him out of the 6-man tag. Abdullah Farouk had to act fast and replaced him with "Maniac" Mark Lewin. Antonino Rocca, Miguel Perez, & Danny Hodge were a bit thrown off having prepared for a different trio and Perez got caught by Kiniski's Backbreaker and was pinned in the center.

Lou Thesz made Ernie Ladd submit to the STF in 0:16:51.

Lou Thesz had another successful title defense, this time over "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd. Even at the age of 47, Thesz is the best in the world. He'll have to be at his very best when Bruno Sammartino gets his rematch next month.
